An endowment fund acts like a savings account for our Library. Our fund is held and managed by the Erie Community Foundation and it is pooled with other funds for greater investment return. The endowment's spending policy is designed to protect and enhance the charitable purchasing power of your thoughtful gift in perpetuity. The remainder of the earnings is reinvested in our fund to meet the Library's changing needs in the future. With this partnership, the Library receives the benefits of all gifts to the endowment fund, but does not bear the burden of managing the fund. This allows us to focus greater time and resources on our mission of providing outstanding library services to Erie County residents. |
