The Iroquois Branch The Iroquois Branch was the first achievement of the newly established Erie County Public Library Foundation. Opened in 2002, the branch is approximately 6,000 square feet and has a circulating collection of 40,000 books, CDs, DVDs and magazines. Two of its most prominent characteristics are the wonderful elbow-limbed Giving Tree as you enter the library and the beautiful clock-tower which was a gift from General Electric. Circulation has tripled since the branch opened and children's programs are filled to capacity. Blasco Endowment Fund and Book Honorarium Fund The Book Honorarium Fund, established in 2001, consists of donations in memory or honor of loved ones by individuals and families in the community. These gifts are used to purchase books, magazines and other materials for the Main Library, the branches and the Bookmobile. These gifts are used to supplement the Library's acquisition funds and are a vital part of the Library's operating budget. Donors can see the listing of their gifts on the Library's website. |
